My First Felt Doll

I made this a couple months ago, for my friend Kimberly's birthday. This is my first attempt at a felt doll, and I hope to make more. Ben helped with some of the sewing, since I kept managing to sew the legs inside the body. They are a couple inches shorter because of that. Hehe. :)

8 Sided Figure

Me: Remember that a 5 sided figure is a pentagon, a 6 sided is a hexagon, a 7 sided is a heptagon. Do you remember what an 8 sided figure is called?
Zoe: Not really...
Me: Here's a hint - think of an 8 legged creature and what it's called
Zoe: A spidagon?

Zoe's 8th Birthday

Zoe wanted to have a Rock N Rock Party for her 8th birthday, which meant lots of guitars...only guitars. We had a small party and did crazy hair and painted fingernails. I asked her at the end of the day what her favorite part was, and she said she couldn't choose, it was all wonderful. :)

Color in the House

My mom came to visit and we knocked out a couple fun projects to make the house more fun! Here is a picture of our kitchen, before we moved in.

And here it is after we painted it purple and aqua...yes, it's slightly obnoxious, but it's happy and I love it. :)

I bought these flat sided marbles and hot-glued them to the crown moulding on the cabinets.

I got this duvet cover at the thrift store, and decided to use it as a curtain for our patio door for privacy at night.

Here's my kitchen window. I put up the matching pillowcases to the duvet cover as curtains, and the red lamp was found in the As-Is section of Ikea for $4!

I bought a bunch of these butterflies in different colors to hang around my kitchen. So far, there is only this one on the fan.

Here is a picture of Zoe's room, before we moved in.

And here it is now! We used clear contact paper to make stencils.

The 1980's

I found a hair crimper from the 1980's to give Zoe for Christmas. She was so excited!
